The RFVP Therapeutic Hub is a free resource available to anyone looking for therapeutic services in the Eastern Metropolitan Region. It is designed to help people connect with appropriate supports and brings together the latest information about therapeutic services in our area. All service information is regularly updated and free to download.

Pathways to Resilience - Outreach, Assessment & Counselling - Outer East

Eligibility Criteria: Children and young people aged 0-18 who have experienced family violence and have links to the Outer East metro area of Melbourne

Length: 6 months

Location: Outreach

Focus: Outreach assessment and counselling, with the child / young person and their parent / family

TRAK Forward - Inner East

Organisation: Alliance – Anglicare, Drummond St, Relationships Matter

Eligibility Criteria: Adults with or without children; & children who reside in or with strong connection to Inner East – who have experienced family violence and moved through crisis and ready for therapeutic support

Length: Various programs

Location: Inner East (local government areas of Monash; Boroondara; Manningham & Whitehorse

Focus: One on one therapeutic work with victim survivors (both adult and children) to recover from the impact of family violence. Therapeutic groups with Doncare and EACH for women, primary school aged children, teens, and parent child groups. Co-design peer support group with Doncare and Lifecare for connection.

Australian Childhood Foundation - Child Trauma Service - Mitcham

Organisation: Australian Childhood Foundation

Eligibility Criteria: Children and Young people who have experienced sexual abuse, family violence or engage in harmful sexual behaviour. Residing in the Eastern Region.

Length: 12 months approximately

Location: Mitcham

Focus: Assessment and Counselling for children and young people who have experienced trauma as per eligibility and/or engaged in HSB.  Individual, dyadic and family work.

Crossway Lifecare - Sunshine Circles

Organisation: Crossway Lifecare

Eligibility Criteria: Families who have been impacted by family violence. Mum and child 5 – 7 years old.

Length: 8 weeks. 

Location: Waratah House

Focus: Based on theraplay principles, the program supports families by:

  • building attachment
  • fostering a sense of belonging
  • increasing self esteem and ability to trust
  • developing emotional regulation skills
  • having fun together

  • fostering a sense of belonging

Organisation: Creative Spirit Arts Therapy
