The Orange Door

The Orange Door

The Orange Door is the entry point for people seeking family violence or family services support in the Eastern Metropolitan Region. The Orange Door is a free service for adults, children and young people who are experiencing or using family violence, or families who need extra support with the care of children. The Orange Door brings together practitioners from specialist family violence services, child wellbeing services, Aboriginal services and services for people who use violence. The Orange Door provides initial assessment and support, as well as intake to longer-term victim survivor services, family services, men’s services or referral to the broader service system where needed.

The Orange Door Inner East Melbourne Area is located in Box Hill and provides support to people in the local government areas of Monash, Whitehorse, Boroondara and Manningham. The Orange Door Outer East Melbourne Area is located in Croydon and provides support to people in the local government areas of Knox, Maroondah and Yarra Ranges.

The Inner East ‘TRAK Forward’ Program (Therapeutic Recovery for Adults and Kids) is a collaborative partnership between Anglicare Victoria, Drummond Street and Relationship Matters.

TRAK Forward offers a range of therapeutic interventions to support the recovery of people, including children, who are moving forward away from the impact of Family Violence. TRAK Forward applies a trauma-informed, phase based treatment framework.

People accessing the service can receive support via:

  • Therapeutic and safety focussed recovery plan,
