Eastern Metropolitan Region

The Eastern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne is a diverse and populous area that stretches from inner city suburbs out to semi-rural townships in the Yarra Ranges. The EMR is situated on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. 

The region comprises local government areas of Boroondara, Knox, Manningham, Maroondah, Monash, Whitehorse and the Shire of Yarra Ranges.

Together for Equality and Respect
TFER provides a platform for organisations in the Eastern Metropolitan Region (EMR) to prioritise and work together on the primary prevention of men’s violence against women.

Eastern Homelessness Service System Alliance (EHSSA)
Eastern Homelessness Service System Alliance (EHSSA) – The EHSSA is a partnership comprising of members committed to achieving better outcomes for people experiencing homelessness and/or family violence. Membership is open to all homelessness and family violence services funded by DHHS to provide a Specialist Homelessness Service (SHS) in the Eastern region.

Dhelk Dja Regional Action Group
Dhelk Dja Regional Action Groups operate at the local and regional Indigenous community level to ensure that Indigenous people can increase their knowledge, awareness and understanding of family violence issues. The groups have a role in implementing community led responses that educate, prevent, reduce and respond to family violence in Indigenous communities. Eastern Mental Health Service Coordination Alliance (EMHSCA)
The Eastern Mental Health Service Coordination Alliance (EMHSCA) oversees the development of an integrated multi sector service coordination framework for people with mental health and co-occurring problems, and their carers across the Eastern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne (EMR).For more information, please contact Bronwyn Williams, Mental Health NDIS Program Lead/EMHSCA Project Officer

Family Services Alliances
To enable the effective operation of Child and Family Services, alliances were established in 24 sub-regions across the state. The alliances have representation from Integrated Family Services, the Orange Door and Child Protection.

Queer Family Violence Sector Network
The Queer Family Violence Sector Network (QFVSN) is a collaborative peer support network of people from the LGBTQ family violence and related sectors who come together to share knowledge and resources on improving access and service provision for LGBTQ people experiencing or using family violence.
