Working Groups

To enable family violence system reform to occur on a regional level, the RFVP has developed several time limited and topic specific Working Groups that are accountable to the RFVP governance groups and the Strategic Plan. Anyone in the region, including those from signatory and non-signatory agencies under the Memorandum of Understanding, is welcome to join a working group. Our current working groups are:

Workforce Development Working Group – building workforce capability and arranging RFVP events
Meetings: Monthly
Chair: Cathie Nederveen

RFVP Communications Working Group – producing relevant and comprehensive resources
Meetings: Monthly
Chair: Chiara Mafrici

Intersectionality and Inclusion Working Group – challenging power imbalance and promoting more inclusive practices
Meetings: Bi-Monthly
Chair: Tricia Malowney

Reform Implementation Community of Practice – sharing solutions, information and tools to enhance reform implementation across our service system
Meetings: Quarterly: Topic/focus specific.
Facilitator: Nina Levin

Induction Forum

The Introduction to the Family Violence Sector Forum is an orientation for workers who are new to the family violence service system or the Eastern Metropolitan Region. These sessions aim to give participants an introduction to the family violence system in the EMR, with presentations from key services in the region.

The RFVP sponsors and coordinates special training and events on topics considered relevant and necessary for building integration and improving local family violence service delivery.
